Huh 140 PS (Metric HP) is 103 kw atw. That's well above what they do stock atw. The numbers make no sense.
Hi Guys,
Went to performed baseline dyno last week and here's the figure I've got:
Figure quoted on wheel reading
Power: 140.52PS @ 5200rpm
Torque: 215.62NM @ 3000rpm
Boost: 0.91 @ 3000rpm
AF Ratio: 1:13.9
Based on the figure, I could fairly say that VW has made a conservative claim on horsepower and torque figure which should have been 165PS/252NM on engine. However, my tuner mentioned that because of the emission control and exhaust, the power/torque curve isn't smooth throughout rev range and AF ratio is way too lean for turbo engine and to a certain extend NA.
Baseline Dyno:
VW Polo GTi (Stock) Vs Proton Satria GTi (Mild Mod)

Was it an aussie built dyno, you must have had your tyre psi wrong or something, I call this shinanigans!
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
I doubt so because GT Auto is one of the reputable tuning shop building up engines for racing & drag application. The reading here is quite conservative comparing with the rest dyno machines in here.
Weird charts
Power and torque curves are usually much smoother...and the AFR is bizarre.
How many k's has the car done?
2015 White German SUV
2013 White German hatch
2011 Silver French hot hatch
2008 TR Golf GT TDI DSG

GT3,
Based on 15% drivetrain loss. I agree claimed 150PS at the engine. FYI, the car is brand new 2008 model clocking 1900kms. Done through test the car before dyno, seems like I could hit 230 with ease (and I mean really). Another car dynoed is my friend Colt Ralliart Mivec 1.5T (claimed 150HP at engine) dynoed at the same place 126PS. I'll scout around for another tuning house and redo again baseline dyno run. Just that the AFR figure kinda worries me.
