    VCDS Anti hijacking door locking

    Hi,

Anyone know the process to disengage the anti hijacking / auto door locking on the polo? I know it's done within VCDS, but had a little play last night and thought the "central locking" section would do it, but asks for measuring blocks...

    Thanks
    Sean

Not sure specifically with the Polo (hopefully someone with a Polo can chime in), but in others its under the Comfort Module, and its an adaptation channel.
Check known channels and look for 'auto-lock'.

    Thanks Kamold.

I did find it on the weekend. On VCDS lite, it's under Electrical Convenience, Adaptations, than scroll through the settings. I think auto-lock was number 3, auto-unlock number 4 and there's a prompt to change the setting value from 1 to 0 and tells you what each means.

Good stuff, hopefully your find will help someone else in the future. Post screen shots if you can.

Yup, I was getting annoyed by people hanging off the door handles trying to open em when the engine's running... and it has nothing to do with my driving style

The info on vcds in Central Electronics doesn't align with what I saw on my settings.

I quite like the feature. I wish my T5 did it automatically.

FWIW, the doors will automatically unlock in an accident. So no reason not to have it.

Found a strange quirk after losing power, when you unlock the car, open the door and get in, say your on your phone for a minute, the door automatically locks again with you in the car unless you turn the engine on and off, whats this feature fall under?

    Possessed!

Does your interior light come on and go off normally?

I am wondering if the car isn't seeing you open the door. So after a minute or thereabouts, it relocks itself.

    Hi Gavin

Think you hit the nail on the head there, doesn't appear to do it when opening the passenger door, just the drivers door after 60 seconds, must be a sensor somewhere..
