u gotta break it off. or just pull off the vacuum hose and it comes up with it
Ok i give up, how the hell do i get the little metal clip off the vacume line on top of the stock Bov??
Ive tried squeezeing it with pliers and forceing it with a small screw driver, i cant get it to loosen. I havent seen a clip like this one before.
I know theres a few guys on here that have taken this off for various reasons. Help please.
Cheers Matt

yep cut the little prick off they are pain in the bum
mk4 the mods begin for round 2 hahahha
Be very carefull when taking this off.......
a small blade (very thin) screwdriver inserted flat and rotated will break the clip and then the vacuum hose can be removed.
DO NOT pull on the hose hoping that it will all come off. 90% chance of actually breaking the stock diverter's little connection. Not a problem if you are never going back to stock, but if you want to at some point in the future, you will need to buy another full diverter at $90 from VW.
I have a broken one as proof. And a new replacement in case I want to go back to stock.

yea i put a BOV on just recently. i just pulled my hose straight off and it was fine - the metal clip came off with it. i didn't just grab a firm grasp and yank the hell out of it. be firm but gentle and wriggle it off (sounds a bit sus doesn't it - i'm talking about the vacuum hose people! )
good luck!

lol
They are single use and tighten when you squeeze them.
I just got 'aeroplane snips' and cut the ****er off - Same for all the other hoses in the engine bay. Pain in the ass. Replaced anything ive snipped with screw adjustables.
