Lightbulb unmodified worth more? when 4sale

Do you think a unmodified car will sell for more ,same or less cash at sale time with same km on each car.Does dealer service also help get more $ is the 3 extra years warranty any good ?.

I doubt an unmodded car will get more than a modded unless the mods devalue the car (like stupid styling mods).

Dealer service would be good in the eyes of someone that's not all that informed, however if the buyer knows about cars a specialist private service centre might increase the value.

    Warranty is always good.

I always try to buy unmodded. less chance it has been thrashed. may just be perception but i would prefer to research and do mods that suit me if i think hte car needs it. modifying narrows your target market at resale time.

I think it also depends on when you plan to sell it.

Something worth more dollars would be better un modified as people would want to do their own thing.
If it's older, the buyer would most likely be a younger person who would be happy to get some pre modded parts

At the end of the day I don't know that it would make much difference in dollar terms one way or another, just that you have enjoyed your car more in the meantime.

I always try to buy a modded car and I'm willing to pay a premium for it.

As long as the mods are tasteful and theres no signs of excessive abuse, I think mods should add to the value - there is a risk that a modded car has been abused, but more likely its a sign that the owner is just incredibly passionate about cars, as i am

Unfortunately (if yr a seller) the value of the mods depreciate faster than the car itself, so if someone has spent say $10k on mods, I'd expect to pay say $2 - 4k more than an equivalent unmodded car
