Hopefully I will get some quotes real soon and let you guys know.
Go the KU 39's. Best bang for buck in my opinion. I've got them on my Polo and wet roads are like dry roads with them on. I like them so much I just bought a set on EBay 225/45/17 for the Bora for $170 each delivered.
2001 Bora 4 Motion Sport now used by number two son
2011 Skoda Octavia Scout now with Underground Performance tune
2010 Jetta 125 tdi dsg for the misses - Impressed

Hopefully I will get some quotes real soon and let you guys know.

From what I have read the KU36 is very good, but not great in the wet which is why I opted for the KU31, seems like a better all rounder. I don't track my car so it's road use only, depends on your preference I guess.
Have not read anything about the KU39.
Best quote I can get for the KU31's is $155 each, fitted.

I paid $120 fitted for mine. Where are you located?
On my golf I had KU-31 's (235/45 R17) and loved them. Quiet, ample grip in wet and dry. I then put on a pair of Dunlop sp sport 2000's and they were rubbish! On the polo now I have stock Dunlop SP Sport Maxx and they noisy too, decent grip but not confidence inspiringly so.

Got some KU-31's on the front and they are great. Paid $150 each, cheapest I could find. Will def be putting them on all round when I need 2 more.

Glad you like them, if you slide around too much they seem to loose grip, but for general suburban driving and twisties at 90%, great for the money.
I found a few PSI makes a big difference, I'm now rolling on 33 in the front and around 30 in the rear. Good for comfort and still good grip. Best grip I found was closer to 40PSI.
