TIP questions

Hey everyone, yes I have searched. Also finding in the process that most of the older 9n3 TIP install thread links no longer work.

I was looking at buying a TIP and found a few cheaper options on eBay compared to the forge one. I noticed that one of them doesnt have the metal joining insert? towards the end of the smaller opening.

What is this and would it be a hassle to get the one without it. I ask because I can have it at my door for <$100... if its something I could pick up cheaply I would opt for this.

Please let me know your opinions of these, as the only difference, aside from one of them coming from china, is this metal piece. Along with the fact that the second is more than double the price.

Your links don't work for me but I have used cheap/$80 TIPs and Throttle body pipes from china.

No problems, fit well.

I'll try just post a pic of them.

I guess my main concern is not being able to fit it straight away and having to hunt down this extra part.

Just realised how different these look...

you can get the adaptor from supercheap and my mate got the cheap tip it is thinner and alittle softer then the forge one but it fit ok
