If you want a fast and reliable car the only way to ge it is with lots and lots of money.

If you want a car that will eat just about anything on the track and on the street you need to get a GTR. It the only car i can think of short of porsche and fezzas.

If you have the money you can run thouse things on 700atwh all day.

To whoever said their polo will be all over the 550hp. He is driving a facon, not a bus, get over yourself.
Some people dont read the posts and comment.. I never said Im stunned the Polo Gti is dissapointing in a straight line when compared to a 550hp XR6T. All Im saying is that jumping in a polo GTi you quickly miss what the other cars are capable of. The Polo Gti drives nice but its just not as entertaining as the other cars ive owned. When you sell high performance cars, you quickly miss them and the Polo Gti is not satisfying the petroleum in my blood.

For those who dont get it have never owned quick cars. For those who talk about being quick round corners ditto.

I never thought of an XR6 as a high performance car ... it will always be a turbo family sedan.

I consider high performance cars to be the RS4, 911, etc ... WRX and Evo don't even make it in my books, they just don't cut it with the true high performance cars.

Their acceleration, lap times and cornering G's make them performance cars. Just because they don't have a massive price-tag doesn't mean they don't perform better than 99% of the cars on the road.

I think your overlooking the performance in performance cars...

^ what he said... those cars you discount as performance cars are quicker than many Porsches, not just old ones either.

LMAO!! In my honest opinion, go back to your turbo 6, V8, Rotary if straight line speed is all your after why the hell did you buy a under powered hatch anyway?? Can't work it out? I work on cars capable of 300+ kph run sub 11- 13 second 1/4's and everytime I jump in my Polo I have the best time.. Figure it out and wheel spin/ loss of traction at 160kph is not that thrilling at all!!!

I really agree.. u can have a tune evo and hope it come close with a 911.. but it has 1000000000x more drawback and its only 4x more expensive
Im loving the rs6 atm... =D

I agree with the price tag though, if you cant afford those car.

So a 550hp car is not high performance? To be high performance doesnt mean it has to be high performance in all areas..

The XR6T with 550hp with a baby seat in the back and all my groceries will outrun 99% of cars.

The point im trying to make is that these Polo Gti's are nice little cars but Im sort of unsure if they are quick enough to keep us happy.

I guess it depends how you define a high performance car... Mine are about how it feels to be a performance car.. ie: must be fast, must look fast, must feel and sound fast, etc,

i define the polo gti as a quick car not really a fast car imo... fun little car, but you will definitely miss that performance from your XR6.

I can assure you guys that polo in Ciney was 100% stock while shooting that video, I know the guy from a Belgian board, he has an impressive reactiontime!

The first mod which has been done not so long ago is a Milltek exhaust, the second one just arrived (fmic) but still has to be installed.
