haha, lets not talk about the beetle being deserving of a VW badge. That's gotta be the thorn in the side of an otherwise impressive and respectable range of vehicles.

That's actually right! Whoops, sorry to get it wrong. The Beetle RSI is a funny animal. I can't picture in my head anyone that would want to buy it.

I seem to remember The Mountain sacrificing one in a proddy race.

Someone said each car has its pros and cons.. that is very true. I always buy a car on its stregths and then dwell on the cars drawbacks which makes me sell them.

Last night whilst in the shower, I said to the Mrs, do you mind if I sell the Polo Gti and grab another V8, she looked at me a little weird and said dont be greedy.

Greedy? (I already have a stock V8 as a runabout but I meant a real V8, like a VE SS and chuck a few thousand under the hood)

LOL you call a VE SS a real v8.

Did you just make this thread so you can brag or was there a point to it?

To me and many other actual enthusiasts on here a car can have as much power as it likes but if its not a VAG then its not a VAG.

Sure a 550hp Falcon, like my mates gen3, are great fun for a bit but at the end of the day i love my dubs and would choose a VW over anything you've owned.

Maby thats what your missing, the dub love. It sounds like your true calling is things with a jillion horse powers.

You'll probably find that most people that buy a polo GTI aren't dedicated VW enthusiasts (myself included). I bought one because of what you got for the money compared to what was around at the time. (SP23's, ClioSport's etc)

I'm thinking about keeping the polo for my partner to drive and buying something else to keep me amused, maybe an MPS (not sure whether I want a 3 or a 6) or an FG XR6T or a betty rex.

To the OP, the Polo GTI is fast enough for a skinny tracked and tyred front wheel drive shopping trolley (with cart rear suspension).

If you want a fast, classy car, get an audi RS3 second hand.

    4 wheel drive, 1.8t

chuck a GT28RS on it and you've got a weapon.

I dont mean to put the Polo down..

To be fair, the quality absolutely burys the holdens and fords, the steering is a million times better, but they are not cars for horsepower hero's.

They are enough, doesnt matter what car I owned I would be bitchin about it in some way.

    These cars are tops..
