Every car has some "thing" that will bug you. For instance the XR6 is renowned for a myriad of technical problems. If you really aren't happy with the performance I'd question what were you thinking during and after the test drive (did you test drive one?) and what you really expected you could get out of it modified.
For me it's a good fun car to drive ... and it ticked the right boxes for me.
- Good power/torque for the weight.
- 3 doors.
- A bit different. I don't see hundreds around, it's a sleeper. My old Swift GTi drew far too much attention (usually the wrong sought) and that bored me after a while.
- A fun little package to run around the streets in with the odd track day.
It is what it is, like a mate who owned a modded WRX and was surprised at the attention it drew from the police .... you just have to be realistic and look at the pros/cons, if it isn't the car for you then so be it.
