Go Toyo T1R's...I had them on my last car, and they are very good.

i have Toyo Proxes T1R's with 17's on now and i don't like them at all. the compund i find is too hard and i struggle with traction (when i launch and in wet weather).

please no stupid comments like "how about easing off the accelerator".

I think its only annoying because the traction control is switched on. Spinning the wheels in 3rd while wet is fun. It's like driving an auto, the revs stay constant and the car slowly builds up speed.

Rhys... it's a totally different story on a TDI compared to a chipped GTI. I'm sure they'd be OK, better than alot of tyres anyway.

    Michelin Preceda PP2s = awesome.

yeah true comment....sorry, should read more of the topic next time .

but yeah i have heard a few ppl saying the Preceda PP2's are really good, i think i will go them next.

oh, and 205's would be too big, your tyres would be a lot wider than your rims. a mate did it to his car by accident, looks pretty stupid.
