those rear lights you linked Chipped are horrible IMO.

here is a better pic of the black Hella ones.

and here someone did a quick dodgy photoshop to give some sort of indication what they might look like.....better than OEM ones.

any after-market tail lights on a small hatchback remind me of a suzuki swift i always see at a local shopping centre. the owner has replaced the wheels, headlights, tail lights, spoiler and added some stickers. it's also a burnt orange metallic colour. it doesn't look too bad for what it is: a visually modded ricer. but it only works because the owner has replaced everything.

if you only replace one thing on a car, like just the tail lights, it looks unresolved and out of place. especially on cars that are already well-designed, like our Polos. just my 2 cents

It would look much better if he went one step further, and replaced it with a Polo That's what you call changing everything....

My daughter has a Pearl White Swift S which is the one with mags, curtains, and fog lights - the only thing non-standard is the tint - and it looks great. But I've seen some blinged shockers...... She's a Polo fan too, but you can't get an immaculate 18 month old Polo with 19,000ks for $14500

Thanks GTI..Yeah much better for me "tones" down the redness of it all, I still think the taillight looks very 80's Nissan Skyline which is very rice.IMO...but hey....its the only thing I ain't completely stoked by.

yeah i dont really like those lights that were posted.

every time i look at my car from behind, i think to myself "god damn that looks good". i reckon the round light setup is simple, elegant, and quite well thought out.
