    Synchro 1st -> 2nd

    Does anyone else find that fast changes from first to second will beat the synchro? I'm finding that more often than not, if I wind it out in first then the change up to second it is mightily unpleasant - like I have kicked the poor thing in the guts.

    Hoping it is not the gearbox. 11,000km, one year old.

    Synchros that wear in 1 year! Not likely, but hey I have seen weirder things happen so I guess it is possible.

    There is already a few threads on this issue. If you're talking about crunching the gear change then it's a known problem with the Polo gearbox. They replace the synchro with a revised part. Mine got fixed this week. Dealer had the car for four days.
