    Sydney Drags (June 29)

Details here: VWMA Drags June 29th

And Here: Volkswagen Magazine Australia. © 2013

I've not done a drag before, after Jason started the 1/4 mile thread, wanted a go.

Anyone else up for some Polo Draggin' Fun?

Going to spruke the 6R guys as well, see if we can get a few Polo's there (and show them who's boss)

With a stock clutch, stock fly and stock exhaust aside from the dump, I just don't see it happening.

Mate, I'd love to race but I can't see my car ready to drag in four weeks. I won't pick it up till
next week then have to run the motor in and sort out the tune. I'll come and watch though.

Don't underestimate your car either. Getting a clean start makes all the difference in a FWD. Having to much power can be a
detriment if you can't get it down. Plus you've got to prove Gavin's tuning capabilities.

Ben, trick is riding the clutch at abit over 2grand and slipping against the handbrake, hence why much nicer on an after marketclutch

My tip is to not rev the ringer out of it, I believe Jason's times and approach supports this.

Ideal shift points from data recording on my car.
    2nd gear - 90-95km/h (2nd n 3rd have a large over lap so isn't so sensitive)
    3rd gear - 138km/h

At those shift points the revs come back to 4k and provide max torque and forward motion.
Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
    Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI
** All information I provide is probably incorrect until validated by someone else **
