I've got the Eibach Pro springs & standard shocks (I know ...) ... at the moment I'm in the market for either a set of good shocks or a set of (affordable) coilovers. I find the Eibachs have made a significant handling improvement ... but I'd still prefer to get some good shocks to go with them.

Yeah I was actually considering trading in for golf GTi before investigating chipping but after finding out the power gains to be had and now they fact that its been done I am sticking with this little beauty for sure! This Polo Gti is basically where the previous Golf MKIV left off as the MkV golf is now bigger and heavier and I beleive this polo is more fun to drive, but having said that I haven;t taken a golf for spin as yet.
For my needs I really don't have the needs of a larger car. I dont even think I have had anyone in the back seat of my polo yet either! lol
Now back to suspension do you reckon the way the car lifts up and squats down at the back is a good thing or not? Personally I would have thought that you are not getting the power down to the front wheels as efficiently as if its flatter. Thoughts?
That shift of weight onto the rear is good for rear wheel drive cars as it is shifting the weight onto the drive wheels. For us with front wheel drive cars that sort of weight shift causes traction loss as it un-weights your drive wheels. Apart from stiffening things up a lot there's not a lot you can do to stop that sort of weight transfer. Remember if it is too stiff and the car isn't all that driveable ... or I should say "comfortable".
Yeah I guess there is a point where you start sacrificing comfort for performance and you need to find the right balance in between. The lunging is quite exiting if you can get the tyres to bite and not spin but I kid you not the first time I did it, I felt like I was about to pull a wheelie!!
