    Stuffed wheel bearings?

Hey guys, I hit a pothole the other night which blew out my front right tyre Since then I now have a slight grinding noise from that side of the car. I put the spare on and I have checked the wheel nuts which are tight!? The sound is also louder the harder I brake or corner. Could it be that the hit has damaged the wheel bearings?? I haven't had a chance to take the wheel off and have a decent look yet. Any other ideas?

Sounds like it I'm afraid. Lift the wheel off the ground and try and move the hub laterally, and see if there is any Freeplay there.

Everything looks to be good. The only thing I can think of is that it actually sounds like the tyre making a squeaking noise against the rim! Maybe its not seated properly!

Just stockies, but its the first time I have used the spare so it may just be that tyre.

Try swapping the spare across with the other front to see if the noise moves.

Think one of mine has gone...

    Anyone else dealt with this?

Unsure if I should tool up or get the shop to do it.

Are you saying a bearing has failed?

I have a noise which is noticeable at 60kms and gets louder at higher speeds. Had the parcel shelf out yesterday and was very noticable. Not sure what else it would be, all spins freely and tyres look normal.
