    There is a set of BBS RS for sale on the forum in 17" atm, pretty good price for the condition and specs
    17x8/9, be pretty baller on a polo

    I had heard stories of shoddy quality wheels from Rota so i wouldn't go near them but it could all be internet hear-say.

    Yeah ive looked into them heaps, any wheel that you smash into a gutter sideways at 100 k's has a good chance of failing. My mate has rota grids on his evo 8 MR. He gives them hell and their holding up well.

    17x7.5 would be the go?

    if you are keeping it stock height id imagine so... why not try and get some wheels off a newer model polo? I believe they are 5x100 still, and would be a good OEM+ move.

    Yep exactly the same. I know they're 17" but not sure of the width and offset. Definatley 5 x 100
    There was a set in the for sale section.
    Why dont you go for an OEM+ look?
    Something like 6R Polo Denvers, Tocattas, Bora Sports, Sarasota and Audi 8L S3 (Although heaps of people run these so hard to stand out)

    All those rims are 5 x 100, 17" and are for sale in the parts for sale section (except the Bora sports but a set was sold not that long ago)

    Yeah, running 225's on mine. With that offset, you may have rubbing issues. Mine rubs a bit on the inner guards, but strut clearance is fine.

    This. those Sarasota bettle wheels would be a different move!
