    brakes not quite working properly

    wacked on new discs the other day and my 97 stops better now but its only using half of the dis to stop on.... wtf is going on with that?
    i need new pads, got them and they are the wrong ones so will be taking them back soon.
    what should i check out?

    Is the pad only contacting half the disc?. If so, you need to replace to pads too.
    Get the new pads on first, and see if it rectifies the problem, then go from there.

    just give the pads a bit more time to wear to match the disk. And just be cautious and slowly the breaking will get better when they get to know eachother better (the disk and the pad)

    Sorry, I misunderstood whether you had the old pads on new disks...my bad...Let the new pads wear in, and see how you go.

    its OLD pads on NEW discs
    because the NEW pads were the wrong ones!

    Hahahahaha...Yes, that is my normal state of mind...Mate, wait till you throw in the new pads, and go from there...If you are still having dramas, have it looked at.
