    Stop watch in odometer?

    Ok another issue...

when to start the car this arvo and the service reminder came up on the odometer as per norm, 1000kms to go.

Next thing this (refer to pic) comes up, anyone know what it is? And would it have anything to do with my coolant light flashing as in described in my other thread.

I have noticed it has moved from 223 to 222, so kinda counting down then.

It's the service due warning - see page 10 of section 3.1 of your handbook for an explanation and how to get rid of it.

I didn't realise the TDI's came with the service warning. I am sure the GTI's don't - I have never seen it on mine anyway.

I've never seen it on my GTI either ... maybe it's something that could be turned on using Vagcom.

If it were a Honda of course ... it would be 'hundreds of metres before V-Tec comes in'

Yeah it's VAGCOM function as I asked Quattro's to have it come on at 2000km's instead of 5000km's and yeah the GTI's have it aswell

It is definately on the GTI. The dealer forgot to reset mine at my 1 year service (mobile service) and it came up about 5000kms later. Even following the instructions it was a bit of a pain to get rid of it but I did eventually manage.
