If you want a pod filter, do it right - get the BMC kit with an Odessey battery (or a small flat packed dry battery). Just $ to kW ratio isnt very friendly...

Just testing out... will dyno and log data soon to see any improvement... but so far i got 40kms extra out a tank with some fairly hard driving. Response just the same but with more noise... lol
BMC will fit with some mod even without dry cell small batt.

The key reason why your response is the same is because the filter is only getting what is available in the airbox. In order to get a faster response, your vehicle needs sufficient air to combust the fuel adequately, thus fitting it in the stock box probably doesnt help much I think a SEAT intake would have helped it out more than the pod.

*Seat Intake available from Shane (Eurokraft) listed in the Business advertisements section. Highly recommended seller and a great bloke to deal with!

    A new paint job, black

Sounds like quite a list of mods. Chip first for sure.
Search for rear sway bar for a detailed discussion on it (thread started by 'shaneth')
18s aren't very common on them, few bad reports but obviously they look good.
Lowering - plenty of threads on this, including a group buy for a Bilstein B12 kit
    BOV - Wanky!
Exhaust - few options from downpipe to full exhaust, do a search for results
    Tint - a must

I've always liked the darker colours (last car was dark purple before that was black) the only problem I have is keeping them clean. I park in a garage overnight but when I'm at work the car's outdoors hence silver is the better option.

Chip is definately one of the first things I want to get done but I'm afraid of voiding the warranty.

I noticed that not many people have gone the 18" option, what has been the main reason for that.

Will probably take the car to Heasmans for the lowering and swaybar as it's only just around the corner from work.

BOV= a must but something subtle. I don't want the car sounding like a rice burner (been there, done that). I now want something more refined

Exhaust will be full system for sure. Does anyone make a bolt on replacement or is it better to get a custom job?

Tint will hopefully be coming in the next few weeks (as dark as legally possible).

    Thanks for all the info

don't listen to this boy, he's a typical......toss...pot . perfect colour choice in car my friend, and a decent BOV will sound great as well (if thats what you are in to - like me!). i enjoy the puzzled look on the faces of people when they hear the pshhh come from a Polo....

thats a good future mods list you have there...you'll have a cracker of a car once done! the only other thing i could mention is maybe the SEAT intake and APR engine mount inserts.
