now, any non-gti folks who were after gti wheels and wanted them as cheap as possible are welcome to smack me in the face for saying this, but....

i reckon, given the fact that your market would most likely be non-gti owners who are interested in modifying their car from bog standard, as well as people who, at the very least, will be looking into better rubber/handling, you could probably sell them for around $120-$150 per wheel.

some might say that's alot because at the moment there are lots of el-cheapo looking wheel specials for 17inch wheels for 800aud etc etc, which many people would go for, but im sure you'll find that people with pogs and golf mk4's out there are still interested in class and the understated stock-but-slightly-different look, and will be looking for these.

Yep, I wouldn't be selling them for anything less than $500. In fact, if you have the room, I'd keep them.

What are you gonna do about your spare, Mike? That's a 16" compared to 17s on the vehicle.

if its the same rolling diameter, then it shouldnt make a difference apart from the spare being abit taller, giving you slightly less vertical room between the floor of the boot and the underside of the parcel shelf, for packing slabs of beer.

if its the same rolling diameter why bother getting rid of the spare. theoretically it should drive very very similar. and for long enough to get the proper rim/tyre repaired.
