Stability Control / Traction Control -Stay Off

    Hi,

I did a search, but couldn't find if there was a way to do it...

I want to turn off the traction control and have it stay off when i next turn on the vehicle.

I'm assuming i can do this through VAG, is there another way? Any reason not to do this?

I don't see that the stability control takes away from the cars performance and it shouldn't bother you during your daily driving (unless you are flogging it 99% of the time and even there it doesn't really bother that much)
And it also does make a hell of a difference when you need it. It's saved me good $$$ on some slippery rainy days. I think it would be great if there was an option that if you turn it off it stays off and on it stays on. But i personally think that it does a great job when its on.

    but...

    Eh?

i like letting the wheels spin a bit when i'm pulling around a corner. having the revs back off when you're trying to let it run wide lay some rubber is well, lame.

I can drop the throttle a bit when the wheels talk, but I won't learn when and how if it does it for me.

If your best drags are done with reduced HP's, I think you need practice

Nah, i have no idea about dragging, but I do like to have the control in my own hands...

Laying rubber in a FWD car is lame...

ESP is the single most valuable safety device on your car and it defaults to ON for a reason.

If you really want to do this, I think it might also be posssible in "the hard way"... by removing the corresponding fuse (if there is one for that, if not, the abs fuse) or by disconnecting one of the abs sensors... but this will realy give you the full control - as the abs will also be deactivated.
And I do think this would be very fun to play with. but of course not safe for daily driving on public roads.
