Thanks guys, I'm stoked with how they look, better than I expected.
I'll see how the EVO's handle the power upgrades but it's good to know that the RSR's could be a good upgrade.
Yeah I saw the happy laps too late! Next time though.

I checked out the rear suspension today and Eddy is right on the money. I took out the rear adjusters, put a wheel on and jacked it up to where it sits. At it's current height, there's only half an inch of shock travel before it hits the bump-stops! This is the current height of the rear bumpstops --

...and this is a picture of the KW manual with the specified bumpstop dimensions --

Where do you measure the bumpstops from, the extremities? If so, then they're currently 110mm instead of the required 95mm

Watch where you cut if you want to keep the dust cover. And at the other end don't cut too much as the hole in the middle isnt the same diameter all the way through.

I just had a look under my car, from what I can see, seems the rears are close to riding on the bump stops.

Interested to know if cutting them down is a good idea and by how much. As the top and bottom section seem to be the most relevant in terms of fitting into the required areas, would it be better to try and cut out the middle section? Are they fairly solid?

As the perches are designed to be "in", I would expect the rubber should be cut down to 95mm then remove the thickness of the perch as well (so maybe 70-80 total)

Still figuring out the bump stops as in the other thread..

On another note, I had the wheel alignment done at Ricks Wheel Allignment. Nice and trouble free and a good price.

Also had Kevin from Precision Guard Rolling come up and sort the guards out. I can't recommend his service highly enough. He rolled the lips on the front, macgyvered some tabs for the front plastic liners and rolled the rears. Theres plenty of room now. Obviously if you slam it over large bumps its going to scrub but for enthusiastic daily driving it's fine

Any chance of putting 225's under the rolled guards?

Hmm... I'm going to say no. The Federals are a wide 215/40/17 and they just fit fine.
I gave him the ok to go for gold on the guards but Kev didn't really want to go much further than it is as he said the metal was pretty thin in places. I'm sure he could but there might be some compromises, I imagine it would stand out.

I think I need to remove the rear plastic canards as well as they're in the way a bit and Kev said if anything scrubs it will be that.

Thanks for the response Sam. I was more hoping than anything. Trying to get the power down to the ground. Let us know what you think of the Federals, wet and dry, once you've driven on them for a bit.

So far so good with the Feds..
Giving it the boot in first there's minimal wheel spin, if any, and only a nice chirp into second.
I think they'll handle the power upgrades as good as I need, for the occasional squirt when I actually get to drive it!
I think if I was serious with it, tracking it every month or so I'd probably upgrade to the RSR's for that little bit extra grip.

Here's a pic of the finished product, final height, pumped and aligned --

I think it sits a little higher in the rear with the KW's than FK or AP's and I also have no spare, but I don't think I'd want it any lower anyway. Guard to lip of rim is 70mm.
I still need to fit some shorter drop-links and modify the bumpstops but it's surprisingly comfortable.
I think it's more comfortable now that it's lower as the spring starts off less compressed than at a higher ride height. Less guard clearance obviously, but greater spring travel.

Anyway, pretty happy with it all now. I only have a few more things to check off the list regards my front end knock now that I've fitted new strut mounts and bearings. I'm thinking sway bar links, wheel bearings, hub nuts, or the front arb is fudged.

<EDIT> Oh actually, just thought I'd ask too, my front passenger coilover is creaky. I'm not sure if this is a common occurence with coilovers? When I push up and down on the car the coilover creaks... Any ideas? It doesn't bother me that much but just checking it's nothing sinister.

I'd assume the noise is the bearings. Not sure why, but crappy.
