Those wheels are 17's from the Golf right? Or are they 18's? They look massive on the polo!

those are 18's with 215/35/18 pirelli p-zero nero's - and yes thats replica's of the ones from the golfs - they are called detroits here in south africa and huffeisens (huffs in short) everywhere else throughout the world

and yes they do look massive but they suit the car - this car draws many looks whilst on the road and the first thing most people comment on is how good the wheels look on the car

the 17's just look identical to the 16's that are standard on the pogo's but the 18's have a lasercut face - so whe you look closely they have grooves on the surface - plus they are painted grey on the insides instead of being a uniform colour - one idea ive been toying with is to make those grey bits black - that would make these wheels look like the ones on the gti W12-650

Did you have to modify the guards to fit those 18's? The wheel arches for the polo seem pretty small.

i'm pretty sure this has been researched by a few members here and it was found that they will not get the 5x100's in. AFAIK, you have to order them in from South Africa = big $$ after shipping.

Wonder if some one can fit a set in their luggage... my in-laws are south african... might get them to bring me a set next time they go over
