slight Power loss - Am i imagining it?

    Hi All,

The other day while resetting my APR ECU from stock to APR V2 I accidently failed to wait the required 10 secs before re-starting the engine..Funny thing..it coughed and spluttered and wouldn't start. Turned off the ignition and tried again. All ok.
However I notice I have lost about what feels like 5-10% power. I find the car slower on acceleration - only slightly - but I find getting to redline in 2nd gear slower, dunno its subtle but I'm sure I'm not imagining it.
Secondly to that just this morning I notice that I cannot hear the slight pssst of my APR diverter valve when changing gears..maybe this could be the problem, perhaps the Diverter Valve has malfunctioned?
If anyone has any ideas - greatly appreciated.

When you change the tune, I've been told it takes some time / kms to bed in.

Could be that driving another 50Kms will have you back to normal.

If you are not hearing the diverter where you used to, it could be a boost leak, don't think its too hard to loose a but of pressure with all the plumbing going on...

ok for the record before you all waste your time...let it be known I am stupid.
I was on the stock tune or at least by resetting the ECU everything was back to full APR Power...jeezz der....however I still cannot hear my R1Diverter valve so I might have it looked at. Tnx noone - ur right there is plenty of plumbing!!

I'm pretty keen to see if I am loosing power as well...

Is there an easy way to see if boost pressure is being lost? The 2 I can think of are the Boostgauge and the Mightymods air pressure test.

I was going to do a routine inspection of mine..

Take front bumper off, make sure all boost hoses are secured and fastened tightly. chuck a bit of locktie on the clamps.

    Put bumper back on..

Such a pain in the arse job for the very slight chance something has come a little loose.. For very little benefit if any. But I think a necessary evil.

sometimes I see a bit of a jagged reading on my boost gauge (at low revs)but other times its smooth as... If there was a boost leak im sure it will not mend itself.
