Doesn't the new one have an 18 month waiting period?

Don't like the new GTI, when it comes in a manual then maybe, but I'd rather wait for the Polo R ..... (and then only in a manual)

In the meantime, this GTI would make a good toy .... likely mod it some more .....

Second time round, I think you would get over it pretty quickly. If you do get bored of it though; at least you can modify it to spruce things up!

Come back to the 9n3 club. You know what you had before, you know what you can do in terms of mods, etc .... have some fun

Agree about the new Polo and no manual - it's why I've still got mine.

At present its got about 175kw .... (solid 140kw atw) so plenty of room for improvement. If I get it back, I'll go stg 3 on it eventually.

New since I've been away seems to be the Forge short shifters, so will be looking at that as well.

Other plans will include LSD and wider front track. Should fix the FWD traction issues, Jason.

And SatNav. Got used to RNS510 in the Tig & MV so will need something similar.

DNA Frankenturbo Stage 3 kit + Peloquin/quaife LSD would be a boat load of fun.

I remember you got pretty sick of the lack of traction, LSD I think would be the only real solution, but not cheap.

I'd move forward, new toys are often more fun, it would suck to get it back and regret that you did.

If you do jump back in, I'm looking forward to a re-vamped build thread.

Well, its done now. Bought it back ..... 47K kms in 6 years and always maintained by Jmac for a price that is very good......

Since I had it last, all the bushes and mounts have been replaced and very sticky Yokohamas have recently been fitted, so traction is at least 80% better than when I had it with the stock Contis.

Its a bit slower than my 210kw Tiguan was and not quite as eager to rev above 6000rmin as the 2.0TSI, but its a good base to build on for the future .....

Test drove a new Polo GTI as well last week and while it is very nice and refined, the 9N3 has more raw and eager feel to it, and I prefer that.
