Has anyone here used spring packers to increase the spring rate without lowering the car. I'm aware that it would make the car ride HIGHER than stock when loaded but I'm trying to not alter the look. Obviously, it would be best to combine this with firmer dampers too, especially if they were adjustable so that the damping could be matched to the amount of packing.
Just looking for some more suspension control when hustling along winding roads. Sway bars help reduce roll but I'd rather do more than just that (eg reduce the floaty feeling at speed).
First step is probably to just get dampers with more low speed rebound damping and keeping the springs stock, I'm guessing - maybe some Koni double adjustables or similar.
Changing the spring rate while leaving the damping as stock is not a particularly smart move IME. I can't understand the suspension tuners that have done the H&R cup mod with the stock dampers unless they have warned the owners of the consequences.
