I have a switchable tune (REVO) and I switch it back to stock for servicing...and valet parking, wife driving...etc
Just a quick question, when sending an APR chipped Polo in for a genuine service, is it customary to disable the chip. (ie: set it to factory settings)?

you guys think they dont turn it back on,or try to turn it back on?? want me to tell you some shocking truth about service??
I specifically tell any place that has my car not to drive it because its running way too much boost than it should because of a fault and they will very likely blow the engine if they thrash it and if it needs to be driven to get me. Scares them enough.. I've never had any extra kms on the tripmeter
I started doing this when one of the kids at JAX took it for a thrash after changing brake pads - Little did he know I was standing there watching it leave and come back. I had a huge go at the owner of the place and he was very very apologetic (me and my dad/brothers have been going there for years)
I figure seb/derek have much faster cars to thrash should they feel the need so I have no reservations leaving it there overnight etc.
I wouldn't go near the stealers with my car. I'd rather trust a euro performance mechanic (Derek or Seb) then VW. Plus I'm sure VW servicing is a rip off.
