service question

Do any off you guys know if a service between vw and a private place would be much diff? Besides the price.
i mentioned to some work mates i was not going back to vw for the first service and they thought i was crazy as they seem to think vw service would do things to the car other service places may not know about .
just wondering what you guys think ?

I have always found it hard to trust dealer services, and seeing my dealer in action up here backs up my feelings!! Any qualified place can do your car, and you should have nothing to worry about. Many of the major centers have specialised VAG mechanics you can look at going to, but if you don't have anythig like that close by, you could always look at Ultra Tune, Repco Service Centers, or ABS Service Centers.
