    If your around Northern beaches go see European Autotech. If your out west, see Seb at http://www.euroauto.com.au. Seb is really busy at the moment.

    I'm currently at 45,850km so I'll need mine done now as well. Will also get my TIP installed.

    Im up to 50000 :S

    I think i need a service at 55k.

    Based on services being every 15,000km, should be 60,000km unless you had one done late. I just check the manual (novel idea I know) and it says it's at 60,000km.

    No, it doesn't - as long as if they do a parts replacement, they do so using genuine parts. Obviously, VW isn't going to honour a parts warranty on a non-genuine part!

    There isn't really a drawback into going to a trusted mechanic, be it Seb, Derek or the people up at VW Village at Kensington who I've also heard good things about. The only possible drawback is that some buyers prefer to see the dealer stamps in the right places when they're tracing a car's service history.
