    Secondary air pump

    Howdy chaps.

Has anyone put an aftermarket air pump on their polo? VW quoted me $790 for a replacement . I was wondering if they're a universal fitment. Have found a few in the US, ECS tuning:

    Volkswagen New Beetle 1.8T > Engine > Emission > ES#1876813 Secondary Air Injection Pump - 06A959253B

    Ebay:

Air Pump Secondary Audi A4 A6 TT VW Beetle Golf Jetta : eBay Motors (item 390223816409 end time Dec-01-10 09:45:40 PST)

While I'm here, where's a good place to get a rear oxygen sensor from?

    Cheers,

    -Phil.

I'm not using one... I ditched the 112, 249 and SAI systems. It's only used for a min or 2 on startup.

I had thought about ditching it, but when I eventually sell the car I don't want to have bits missing, if that makes sense

Having seen the pics of cars with and without, unless it was inspected by someone who is ultra keen on the cars or a VW mechanic I personally believe most people/mechanics wouldn't notice it missing.
