I've got the solid Cupra bushes on mine, noticed more positive steering response after I put them in.

yes, they do help with the braking. I think the front strut brace made a difference there too.

i dont know if bushes make a difference to speed, but god damn greg, they DEFINITELY increase feedback, which in an age in which we see "sports" and "high performance" (much more capable than any VW) cars with muted steering that feels more like a force fedback gaming console steering wheel than a 1987 toyota corolla, i think this is a very good thing.

*fingers crossed* when i get my clio one day, i'll be doing bushes... who DOESNT like to know EXACTLY what's going on with the front wheels?

Yeah, I fitted nolathane bushes to my first car and it transformed the response (fantastic at Phillip Island in the rain) but I had to change some of them back to rubber after I started breaking suspension links and brackets. But that car had double wishbone suspension at the front plus it was rear wheel drive so there was no problems with stability under brakes.

With the Polo, I have to brake earlier than I would like as the rear wants to overtake the front when the ABS is on the verge of cutting in but being a tired old fart, I want to stick with rubber bushes.

Jmac, do you know if these bushes will reduce the dynamic increase in toe out under hard braking? And would it also mean I could run less static tow out?
I'd like a bit more stability in this situation.

Torque to yield still sounds dumb to me but if that's what VW specifies...
