    ummmm

Guys, im a little concerned to be quite honest.

Now i dont want to name any names, but i was on the phone to someone about little upgrades for pog gti intake.

I was told some new intake snorkle things were being imported which were a ''genuine'' part which im guessing would be a part for seat/audi/vw etc.

I was given indication it might be a couple hundred bucks....

I said ohh bugger it if your getting a few in put my name on one. But i havent paid for it.

Sort of afraid i might be in the process of being ripped....???

Could i maybe get my name on one of these CHEAP intake pipes too?

Dont get to concerned just yet. When i get a price off Golf Loon, Ill let everyone know. Just wait till then before we get to worried. Having said that you will find its always cheaper if ou can get things ship from os then by them here as everyone adds there markup on the way to make there profit. Once again if i do a group buy itll be of no profit to me so hopefully itll be whatever Loon's mate can get it for plus shipping.

id think about getting one of these. Just finihsed the stereo so now its time to do some on the car .

I understand the principle about more air getting in = better, but would it see any immediate improvement in anyones opinion or is it more of a tertiary step to another upgrade

leck i would love to be the guinea pig but i dont have any real way to measure anything except the seat of your pants. If the price is good ill defintely be getting one. Its up to everyone else if they think its worth the money or not.

Only thing you might be able to do is data logging with VAG-COM.

You could do before and after logging of the airflow and inlet temps. The amount of airflow has a direct relation to the power that you are making.

You can do low level stuff like this with the shareware version of VAG-COM and a cheap cable off ebay.

We just landed a big box of Polo intake bits including the air intake side:

The intake side of things are ~ $160 once I check the charges out combined.

the intake pipes we are going to run on a flow bench, we have found restrictions with the K04's and want to check stock / modified alloy with silicon top vs full Forge version!
