I saw an original VB Commodore driving along next to a current model Corolla yesterday and couldn't believe that the Corolla actually looked bigger!as for the small cars getting fatter and fatter as they evolve....what better example than the Golf.... mk1 vs mk5 weight

my old 81 corolla still sits out the front of my house.. its sooo tiny inside and out compared to my mums 2003 'rolla. i can grab something off the rear parcel shelf without leaving the drivers seat

I remember reading what the torque limits were for the new 7sp DSG...but can't find them. Anyone know?
You probably won't need so much torque anyway, with a 7sp DSG.

An, as for relative sizes of cars, did I mention the size of my old Cooper s, relative to the reprise. And there's a classic old original Fiat 500 outside my office ATM...makes the new one look a real lard. Of course, a decent pushbike represents a danger to the old 500...in power and mass!

i think the body will be heavier, since it grows in size. But wont the 1.4 TSI be lighter than the current 1.8T?
