Its the same engine as found in the Golf GT SPort.

The "black" roof is probably a panoramic glass roof.

It'll make more menacing than Polo GTi in stock form but I can't see much increase in horsies when modded from painstaking 1.4ltr.

    Thanks Capt Obvious

So if it has a Turbo and a Supercharger, does that mean you could chip AND install a pulley?

Yep, sure does. I imagine it would have to be done at the same time, otherwise the ECU would have a cry about a different pulley (different boost, airflow etc).

the only thing i'm worried about here is the 1.4L. The Polo GTI gets an APR claimed 152kW/328Nm tune with plenty of room on top of that for improvement. It never feels as though the engine is straining under the extra power.

I'm not too sure the 1.4L will be able to take the extra power as well as the 1.8L. I just have this feeling that once chipped with this REVO flash, the engine will be under some serious strain and almost be at its limits.

    Does anyone know otherwise??

and as you said Flaps, ~50Nm less than chipped Polo GTI

    Cheers,
    Rhys

The supercharger kicks in first followed by turbo me thinks

Surely a custom 3" dump will fix that...combined with a 3" pulley perhaps

I'd be willing to bet it puts on 100-150kgs over current Polo. Cars start off small(ish) and get fatter and fatter.

yeah it probably will put on weight, maybe not 100-150kgs cos that would make it around the weight of a Golf V GTI but maybe somewhere between 50-100.

as for the small cars getting fatter and fatter as they evolve....what better example than the Golf.... mk1 vs mk5 weight
