Confirmed, yup black plastic thing is there. I'd fitted a forge baffled sump over christmas last year.

I can't answer the 2nd question with any reliable knowledge. I left the black tray in place and put the baffled sump on.

Nice development on the car too man. I'm too precious to cut bits.

Alright thanks mate. I'll have a squiz at pics of the forge sump. If your forge went in there with a similar plate then I'll do the same.
Thanks re the car. It must be hard watching me attack it. I did think of you wincing when the sparks started flying yesterday - it does look like a dogs breakfast on those strut towers atm but I promise that's only temporary. It'll all get ground square, file finished and dressed up with a coat of paint before the MCA's go in. I've ordered the softer 7kg/mm front springs so just waiting on those and a rainy day (so that I'm not expected to do any house stuff) then i'll get into it.

anyone know if this 6R bush fits our 9N3 rack. The pictured rack is a 6R rack and I must say that bush looks very similar to ours. There's nothing listed for the 9N3 rack, but just wondering if anyone has done it?

I had initially bought that car to later be my track car, but the path changed so it's still "living my dream"

It would have been a smoother road had I taken it than the one I did, lol, but all is good now.

Hope you're having fun tonight - I was in western Sydney for work this morning, saw some cars that appeared to be headed to the Creek as I was driving back North. I have to be in western Sydney for work again the week of the next rallysprint. If the car's ready then I'll be entering, but even if not then I'll definitely be there for a look.

Hi Mate. No we didn't enter this one. Liam in the black GTS from the hillclimbs had always said he wasn't going to be able to make it and Clio Pete has been working up the coast. My lights are sorted but there was just too much going on with the rear beam having to come out etc. It'll probably be the next one that we all go to so if that one is the one that suits you too then awesome. If you don't drive make sure you bring your helmet, CAMS licence and purchase the nsscc.com.au summer membership (25 bucks). With those you'll be able to co drive in basically anything you can talk your way into. My first time out there I got into a fully prepped Sierra Cosworth RS500 which was pretty special! I'll keep you in the loop of how we're all going as it approaches.

Ah ok... I know how all that goes! Yeh, pretty sure I'll be there at the next one, one way or another. Thanks for the headsup on needing the membership to passenger, that'd definitely be worthwhile, especially as I'm going to want to run an event when I get the car sorted anyway. I've got really good headlights fitted (need them to pick out the roos up here!) but might be worth making up a mount and running wires to a plug, so that I can add and remove some driving lights as needed - I've got some pretty decent lights sitting spare from an old project anyway, may as well put them to use! Would be useful for our day/night khanacrosses at Ringwood too.

here's a link to the first time I drove it. Excuse my co driver mate - he's a bit special. You'll see that drag strips are very slippery on worn mediums in the wet!

And this is what it looks like in the dark (starts at 1:00):

see you do need good lights.
Simon K its never too far! Sort your licences and come along mate.

edit: ha ha just noticed you are in Vic. Yep a decent drive on a school night

Superpro are awesome. They sent me a dimensions diagram of the 6R steer bush. I had a quick measure up before coming to work tonight and I honestly cant split the OEM bush for our steering rack and the dimensions for the superpro poly 6R one, so I'm going to order one. It might be a while before I can get it in the car, but I can fit it up on a spare rack and even bolt it to a spare crossmember, but at the moment it looks like we may just may have a nice stiff bush solution for our steering rack.
