Badger in the UK is apparently all over it, but its custom.
My code is always flow, I sent Guy the code info for APR to map out.
If CC had a solution, that would help me move to that tune as I've been talking about for ages...
It really isnt all about the resistance, the ecu can request the pump run for a sec or too whilst you are motoring along, the 02 sensor requests it now and again, this is whats making it hard for folk. Some are good some not, some tuned some not. Its a flow code they get not a pump resistance code, feel free to post your logs guys to see if we all are seeing flow and not resistance so im not blowing a lot of hot air( pardon the pun!!). And with the ecu requesting it only now and again this is why most can erase and drive for days even weeks with nothing then bang! So mate you are with the lucky group. I have done resistors on a few now all the same way and have a couple with Zero problems and a couple with MIL. Dont worry im racking my brain along with a good freind back in the mother land. I think it would be a good one for the likes of Gav with the flexibiilty of being able to have it custom done to erase the SAI from the prom table to stop it asking for it and requesting it later?? off the shelf tuners might be harder, or even a live tuner may be able to do it.
Keen as you all are to see it gone!!!!!
Cheers

Please do Gav, like i say its not resistance but flow codes, i know for sure the pump can be requested anytime , and have had reports of the light coming on during a journey, just a thought, all of the tuned ones that ive seen with lights are not CC and of course non tune is non tune therefore ecu un touched. Could be something in that, im really keen to hear but, Gav this could be significant mate they have had other tunes, Jasons does have a light but his aft probe has dramas so will discount that for now, fingers crossed

If it's any help, I have an untouched ECU and currently have the CEL for the flow pump.
I've been meaning to get the APR tune in the next few months, so if a untouched ECU is needed, happy to offer up my car as guinea pig.
2008 Polo GTI, lower honeycomb grills, PD160.
Well after a couple of weeks with the car it flagged its CEL this weekend, im presuming from the SAI mod, so this new map has just become more interesting!
2016 MY17 Polo GTI with DA package. TMD fitted + Weather strip and Snow Screen removed otherwise dead standard.
I might have had a light bulb moment, and if im right the guys with no Cel have fluked the outcome and havent known about it, came around after i had to test a certain circuit yesterday , stay tuned trying something today folks, and of course it may take a couple of days to re trigger if its a fail but i hope to report nothing back other than the remedy
Cheers

Just to let you all know, I have now got Phase 1 and 2 files with the SAI code turned off. I'll be running a Phase 2 file on my own car shortly.
I am expecting that Clicht will be the first one on the streets though.
Keen to see what you are up to though Jimmy
Gavin
I light of Gavin's post above I share my apologies to all as it seems the reason I don't get a CEL is due to having a Custom Code, and not because of the resistors I used as Jimmy previously stated. It was a logical way of thinking at the time as no one knew the tune was the reason. Didn't mean to mislead the polo peeps and lucky for me resistors aren't a $100 modification as I would owe plenty of beer if that were the case![]()
I reckon you may have been lucky mate, as Kev has only just modified the files for me in the last fortnight. That said I don't get a code any more on the S3 and it did do it shortly after I removed the pump.
The resistor for the pump doesn't do anything, as the ECU couldn't monitor that amount of current and the pump has a relay controlling it. The ECU can detect if the relay is out of circuit, as I found out the other day while doing some fettling under the bonnet.
The ECU would throw different codes, if you didn't put resistors in for the N112 and 249 valves, as it would assume they were disconnected.
