Not wanting to put a downer on what you are doing, but is there any point in taking a Polo to Stage 3 ? Wouldn't the money have been better spent on something else ie Audi S3 ? Just my opinion.
There was about 20hp or so difference between a tweaked Phase 2 and one without the tweaking. So there's room to improve power with timing for sure.
When you are playing games like this, I think it's important that you can monitor how the engine's running afterwards. If you don't have easy access to a VAG-COM cable, you should think about getting one.
Even something as minor as a spark plug can cause problems on a tuned set up that would go un-noticed on a std car.
Cheers
Gavin

I will try to get the stage 2 loaded either this week or next week depends on it needs a 4 bar fuel regulator or not!!![]()
HKOGTI - pmed you about Stage 2.
I have VAGCOM, what should I be monitoring to make sure things are running smoothly? I have it, but I only use it to check for fault codes.
I am sure I can make more use out of this $500 dollar item!!!!
which channels etc?
06 Polo GTI - REVO Stage 2 = 140kw @ wheels.
06 Golf GTI - Bluefin Stage 1 blacked out with ED30 theme, leather, xenon, etc.
Confirmed by Revo, i will need a fuel pressure regulator for the stage 2 software....
Stage 2 software delayed.... Need to get the FPR 1st...
As advised Herman....
Better to be safe. It's cheap from ECS tuning, just get it imported.

Wahahaha...
Cant wait, i am trying to get a FPR now...
There is sard one for about 160 and apr for 200, ecs is 80...
Tell me how it goes once you got the stage 2!
REVO Stage 2 is finally in. The impression from driving around 80km, is that it boosts hard with peak of around 23-24psi. (recorded on VAGCOM as 24), and difference is that the boost will settle a little, but will keep around 20psi through higher REV range. It definitely has a lot more torque from my butt dyno.
I am waiting for TIP pipe within a month, and that could make a difference in higher RPM I believe. The setting is quite good at Boost 7, Timing 7, and Fuel at 8. I could advance the timing a little higher as my VAGCOM readings were approved both by REVO at UK and in NZ. They said it's very stable now. I will try Timing 8 next month.
Only down side I've noted so far is that the fuel consumption is now worse than Stage 1. I use to average 8.5 litres / 100km including city commuting in traffic, now on average I seem to be doing closer to 9.5-10 litres / 100km. I think I need to drive around more for the ECU to adapt to all the settings.
It costed me about $150NZ for tune. Needed to pay another $150 for on road tuning, but feels worth it. Although a bit annoying as I can do this myself with my VAGCOM, but I cannot adjust settings.

Thanks for the update mate.
Can you tell us more about your settings (7, 7 andwhat do these mean? I don't know much on the Revo front, but their websites don't help much either...
