    Revo Stage II anyone?

Most of you have the APR flash done to your pogs but I thought I'd ask anyways if there was anyone out there that has had the Revo stage II tune done?? I'm wanting to have mine done after I return from holidays.

    Results anyone?

The stage 2 tune involves full exhaust, downpipe, hi flow cat, and stage two ECU tune for those that don't know.

What sort of power figures do they claim with this stage? I know the Stage 1 tune states 158Kw and 300 and something nm.
    Cheers,

A claim of an increase of 10-15% on top of the standard Revo flash. Whatever that equates to at the wheels he didn't say.

    From what I heard:
    1) intake
    2) exhaust
    3) fuel regulator (higher of course)

Stage 2 - according to books in conjunction with all mods above
was stated 195kw or there abouts.

They quoted 158kw at flywheel for stage 1 without mods.

So combining intake + exhaust = probably around 175kw at flywheel + and the ECU - that is probably how they worked it out.

Mind you my car made 127kw at wheels with Seat intake and REVO + stock filter in summer. I am guessing with down pipe / exhaust it should make around 140kw + new ECU - approx 150-155kw at wheels I am guessing.

I dunno if I want to go that far, at the moment there is enough power already I feel... but exhaust is something I want to upgrade.

Think those figures might be a bit generous...

Maybe 140 with all those inc the new ECU may be a bit more realistic.

Quoting others, the Downpipe adds the most Horses, with the full exhaust, just a couple on top of that.

After the tune, the next big power hike would be a bigger turbo.

I don't believe 140kw is not possible with just down pipe.

Down pipe has given from 10-15kw at wheels, and from what I have getting approx 127kw at 24 degrees at second run already at quite conservative dyno, I am pretty sure I can reach 140kw with down pipe upgrade.

Full exhaust or Down pipe alone, doesn't seem to make too much difference.

If you look through past threads, you will see this is not impossible.

Those 195kw number is just a number quoted by revo. I do not believe them, but I do believe if that's what they expect, than I don't think 150kw is impossible.

Hey there...i just wanted to know where you got that info from? The Stage II info I got from seems very different from yours. I tried googling Stage II revo for Polo GTI and could not find much on it.

So it's the intake, exhaust and regulator upgrades for the next step after the flash?

You would need intake, exhaust and regulator before the flash most likely. The regulator would allow the ECU to inject more fuel for less duty cycle on the injectors.

The reason for stage 2 is to make the most out of the hardware mods done. Having a downpipe and exhaust will allow the engine to breathe better. Probably making more boost earlier. Having a front mount would keep intake air temps in check longer, also allow a bit more boost.

Got the info from the REVO dealer in NZ.

If my gearbox doesn't crap out, I really wouldn't mind putting the car to revo stage 2... along with all others.

I need the exhaust / fuel regulator. Fuel regulator you can get one from ecs tuning from states for not much. I think I needed 2.5 or 3 bar or something in that line, can't quite recall.

Intake wise, I will just go with SEAT intake (with flap cut out).

I would be happy to get front mount, but at this stage, I will be happy with vent mod on the arch, and if I can get hold of the GTI grill that would be it. New Zealand ever really sees temperature of Australia.

    Then I will need
    1) better brakes, maybe 312mm upgrade
    2) front mount
    3) Uprated clutch and flywheel
    etc.

Current chassis is tight enough with addition of sway bars... the car is stiff as.
Through a few track days, I know what to expect out of the car and how it behaves. I still need to go back, as the car has changed a little with new 17 inch wheels. At the moment I do not feel as confident as I was on 16" Monzas.
