Reversed into a Rock

I'm back from the snow, and unfortunately did some damage to my car. So I reversed in to a log and a rock, don't ask.. I'm very pissed off at myself!

Now, I'm not too sure what's actually damaged aside from the bumper itself, so if someone can post some photos of the underside of their car on the right rear side, it would be great! I hope it's just the bumper, and I can just replace that. I'll post some photos of my damage later. Anyone recommend a smash repairer in Inner Western Sydney?

Also, my windscreen got a few chips on the freeway on the way back. What are people's opinions in regards to getting that looked at/fixed? The larger chips are around 2mm wide. Anyone recommend a windscreen repairer?

Who's your insurnace with?

Chances are a new bumper + paint will easily go over your excess, even if you factor in what you loose in no claim bonus for the time it takes you to work it back up (assuming you don't have lifetime maximum).

When it comes to the windscreen, many insurers have a "free" windscreen once a year (I know Shannons does) or if your lucky they may allow you to bundle it all together in one claim...

As for repairers... can't help you there.

Can the bumper be fixed? Plastic welders can do some pretty amazing things with bumpers that others throw away.

thats all well and good, but once you drop the car off after the drive........then what? stranded.
