Replacement Rotors: Need Help Oh Wise Ones for front and rear Brake Rotors 9N GTi

Once again I need assistance from 'the wise ones', this time I need to identify replacement the front and rear brake rotors.

Current I have non standard 'Dixcel' HS Type 131 3035 slotted near the end of life. They have been quite ok, but I have no comparison as the 'Dixcel's were fitted when I got the Polo.

Please no one just say 'do a search'. There are always result posts that leave out so much detail and omit pricing guides, a search that ends up being more of a puzzle than a help at times.

Since I intend to order Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > Search > ES125 > ES#125 Stage 1 Clutch Kit - Steel Flywheel (14lbs.) - ESR198031S1 I could also put the rotors on the same order so I can also replace the front brake disc rotors too. As I have slotted now and would go the crossdrilled and slotted.

But while I'm at it i noticed they have these Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > ECS News > Volkswagen ECS GEOMET Coated Rotors and http://www..com/Volkswagen-Golf_IV--...OEM/ES2189954/ but which part suits our 9N Polo Gti?

Or is there better brake suppliers and options for rotors elsewhere? Links and please idenitfy any translation for the specific overseas VW or Audi model that is a straight fit for the 9N Polo Gti My 2008.

Cheers and thank you oh wise ones ! Al

The 288x25 I believe are what you want but you would do well to give Greg at GSL Rallysport a call locally and see what he can do for you.

+1 for GSL Rallysport - currently using DBA T2 slotted rotors and they have been faultless on and off the track...and they have a cool pattern haha

Yep, Greg is a great guy and really helpful plus he knows his stuff.

In regards to rotors, I get flamed for this often but if you are after performance, stick with plain rotors. If you are after looks, then go cross drilled and slotted

I bought slotted Brembo rotors off ECS back in 2009, and they are still going strong. They are the same size as the MK4 GTI.

I contacted GSL Rallysport and on their recommendation ordered RDA 7198S front rotors. Waiting for them to be delivered, thanks for the posts and responses one and all.

Are these front rotors difficult to instal, anything to avoid or watch for? Do not need pads as Jimmy did them recently ............ Cheers Al

This car has been out for well over 6 years now, and everything that has been done to it is covered in this section. Trust me, a search will find it, and yes, I did a DIY front rotor guide, way back in October 09. Look up 'Changing Polo GTI Front Brake Rotors'.
