    Removing top tray...

    Hi guys,

Trying to change my boost gauge holder cuz it looks crap. Its mounted on top of the tray and I want to change to a different type.

What's the best way / approach to remove the top tray? Just flat screw driver with padding?

Which way first rears or the fronts?

    Thanks!! You guys are great.

You can just pull it out with your hands, no tools required.
Rear first, if I remember correctly.

as it says "locking devices are on sides of tray without cover" and i have a plastic trim tool for all these types of occasions. I remember when I pulled mine it took more force than I would have thought.

Pull the windscreen side up and toward the rear of the car. Did it just the other day to install my boost gauge.

When i removed the tray thing the other day i was squinting because it didnt seem healthy that i was pulling soo hard on this bit of plastic on the dash, when it popped out it made such a noise that i thought something had broken.

Replaced with the cubby box from vagparts extremely happy with the cubby.

Also got the gloss B pillars, which look fantastic.
