Removing official VAG iPod adaptor

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody can please advise whether the official iPod adaptor just plugs in (so in turn unplugs) or if it's a hard-wired or more complicated job. The manual says nada about installation.

If it can just be unplugged and anybody here has done it, a tip as to from where to approach without removing the stereo would be really great.

Amy, the stereo will need to come out to get it done. Should be simple, and even the dealers shouldn't charge you much to get it done. I haven't done it myself, but there is no way round to get at the back of the radio and also get the wires out to the cabin. Good luck.
