    Removing front bar

Could someone who has done it please post DETAILED instructions for removing/replacing the front bar of a gti, including any traps for young players?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah - that post is helpful showing the parts involved, but I'd like some instructions on the sequence of steps in removing the (bumper) bar to minimise damaging the fasteners, mounting points, etc.

Just finished fitting a Forge fmic. I guess the instructions are just what you need.

I found they came out relatively easily if you spray wd40 on the "up" side of them.

taking the front bar off and installing a fmic will ensure the bumper doesnt go back on properly.
