Does it happen when the torque kicks in or at any particular rev range?
How many kms on your car?
I've had a few clunks/knocks for a while and a search of the forum tends to lead me towards control arm/drop links/bushes being the culprit. Although, reading through these threads, nothing seemed as severe as what other owners are reporting, so I just put up with it, not knowing how to troubleshoot the issue myself.
The last few days, I've noticed a new clunk. This one sounds like the ABS self test, but with more of a kick felt through the accelerator pedal. So far its occurrence is random, the only constant is that it only happens when my foot is on the accelerator.

At this moment, I haven't noticed any pattern to the clunk. It's happened a few times when changing from 3rd to 4th, as in, once I've made the change and apply the accelerator it'll happen. But again, haven't been able to make it do it. It's happened once when just cruising at 60km and it even happened when reversing.
Car has 16,800kms.

do you notice if it happens on the weight transfer when accelerating? if you accelerate quickly, does it happen more often than accelerating slowly?
does it also happen randomly when braking, i.ewhen all the wieght shifts to the front? hard braking vs soft braking vs decelerating in gear?
does it ever happen at a constant speed?
I've noticed it more when accelerating slowly. That's not to say it's not doing it when accelerating hard, but I guess it would be harder to feel in that situation.
Nothing when braking. But it's happened when decelerating in gear.
Yes. I've even felt it when I had cruise control active.
Still very random. I suppose I should be thankful that it hasn't gotten worse.
