    quality of vw dealership

dun like to whinge, but got to share this with fellow pog owner.

i hav some warrenty work done on the lock of my pog. got it fix after 1 month.

however, vw service people didnt bother to put back the rubber speaker mount the first time when they hav my car.

second time, they only bother to put one side back on.

3rd time in, i made a huge complaints abt it, and they decided to throw the mount away as they assume that i willl never find out what parts is missing behind the door trim. plus, leaving a huge crack on the plastic door handle without acknowledging me, and disconnected the cable to the window, which i cant get it to open...

i couldnt held myself back, and had a go at the service department manager. his excuse was that his guy ran out of time, so decided not to put the mount back, and threw it away...

is this what u expected from a dealer? bloody hell...

had my whinge now, feel all good again. XD

    Thats pretty ****ed

If you don't get anywhere with them i'd go to VW Aus and ask them if it is standard practice to throw bits of trim out to save time.

Can you go to a different dealer?? These guys get paid warranty hours ($$) for their work from VW Aus so it's not like its costing them anything to look at your car.. infact they would be making $$$ by doing warranty work on your car so they should be bloody happy. !@2@#!

My girlfriend gets ****load better service from Toyota in her Yaris.. And she's your prime canditate for being shafted by mechanics - Female with no idea. (err.. about cars. )

That's shocking service. I'd write to VW Australia about that ... and name names (Service Manager etc.)

There's a very clear and effective protocol to observe here: first, raise your concerns calmly and clearly with the Service Manager; if no satisfaction, then so the same with the Dealer Principal; make notes, keep records and follow up in writing on what they have agreed to do; if no further satisfaction, then by all means write to VWA. And, provided you have documented everything along the way, there's no problem in naming and shaming the dealer on this and other forums

if this dealer is your only logical choice for servicing. You should make love not war. Otherwise you wont ever get any decent service.

No yelling. No fits. Just be calm and firm with them and dont take no for an answer.

I would also recommend taking some photos, they say a picture is worth 1,000 words.

    Good luck.
