    PWR Steering failure

    Hi All

The steering wheel light comes on in my dash. I would assume that there is a power steering failure as the wheel is very hard to turn whilst stationary.

Would this be typically caused by a "pump" failure, will scanning and resetting codes resolve the issue?

Also can you confirm that the "pump" is located on the bottom left hand front, bottle sitting atop a metal base. Similar to the pic below

    Cheers
    John

I had my light come on the other week and the HEAVY steering that followed. It came on after I'd had trouble starting it after being away for 2.5 months and it needed a jump start. The next day it wouldn't start at all, so got a new battery, steering was back to normal, cleared the code myself and it has never come back again.

Same as Dean, last time i had this trouble it was battery related, this car does some crazy stuff when the batterys low, mis fires, no power steering, multiple dash warnings, weird noises ect..
