    Unhappy Power Surge

Hello everyone i have had my polo for 2 weeks now im the 2nd owner and it come with 55000km last week i had the APR Stage 1 tune and put in a turbosmart plumback BOV and K&N filter and new fuel filter oil and oil filter and added some NGK BKR7EIX-11 plugs gapped at 0.28. anyways to the point 1st and 2nd it flys but when i get in to 3rd the power surges like im on and off the gas so i added a boost gauge and took it for a drive and in 3rd at full throttle the boost goes to 19psi then drops to 14psi back to 19 then 14 then 19 so on and so on just seeing if anyone has a clue to what it might be

Maybe try putting the stock DV back in place of the BOV

If it has done it since the tune got loaded take it back to to the tuner. If the problem arrived after fitting the DV swap that out.

I have the same turbosmart recirculating valve as you and its been faultless but yeah swapping it out to check it wouldn't hurt. It is set to full recirculating isn't it, you're not running it half and half recirc/vent to atmo are you. Check that its oriented the correct way - it fits opposite to the OEM one, with the fat long compressor signal pipe coming into the base/bottom of the piston. The cap, hose tee's and nipple are all threaded so check they are all tight and not leaking air. Also check that the clamps are tight or not overtight and torn into the hoses. See if the shop will swap in a different N75 boost control solenoid to test that.

i went to change over the DV and seen that the bov was half way out of the tube so i pust it back in and put new hose clamps on and it seems to have fixed it and now it boosts to 21psi and has more punch thank you all for the help
