    I'm guessing that the ESP in our Polos isn't advanced enough to understand what it needs to do if a tyre comes off the rim. But if that's true, does that mean ESP is useless if a tyre blows out? Now I'm scared. Thanks a lot!

    Could it just be that the ESP sensors became dirty from the rocks and kitty litter and as the dirt cleared away overnight it came back on again?
