next service Date 07/07 Kms :30000
As i still havnt reach to 30000km, do i need to go for the service?
as the date wriiten as 07/07, will they void my warranties?

From my understanding you will need to go in for a service because it's scheduled on the 07/07. The 30,000km service is there if you hit those kinda miles before the scheduled date of 07/07..

However, I'm not sure if the warranty if voided.

I suggest you do it. Whether or not it will void your warranty, it's not good to have your car without a service for over a year. Your car will love you for it

Especially if you are going to keep the car a while, 5-10 years down the track, you tell the difference between a car that has had regular oil changes and one that has led it slide. If keeping it short term, it helps to have a logbook that is up to date when selling it.

Personally, I think 15000km and 1 year is too generous. It should be an oil and filter change every 7500km and 6 months, but I guess I am used to doing oil changes every 5000km in my old car.

With the oil these days and for a car that is limited to a chip re-flash i would not bother changing the oil at more than 10,000km intervals unless you are doing a lot of track days etc...

I agree with you to an extent for a new car. However, if you do a lot of stop start driving I would do it earlier. Also, once the car is 3-5 years old, if you plan to keep it for a while, I would reduce the interval to 5000km, and if you want to save costs you can keep the filter for 10000km.

My old car, a 95 Civic, was treated that way. 12 years old, the car ran like new. Also, the oil, whilst not like water, always became dirty by 5000km anyway, wouldnt have wanted to see how it is at 10000km

I have worked for a couple of dealerships and brands in the past and to be honest the whole timed service thing is a bit of a rouse. Unless youre a year or so past the service date, there really is no grounds for cancelling your warranty. If youre like me and dont do a lot of kms it always helps if you just get your oil changed between services. From a dealer point of view when you trade your car in (not recommended unless youre loaded and money is no issue!) they only look at the kms not the dates. And dont get your car serviced anywhere but the dealership. The few bucks you may save getting it serviced elsewhere you will loose when you trade it in if your log book is stamped by for example ultratune of if you have missed services all together. I have seen valuations differ anywhere up to $3000 depending on the above info and the make and model of the car.
