    Polo Tinting Feedback

    Hi everyone,

over the past week or so, ive been trying to gather info about tinting the polo. The only feedback ive got was that it "was a bugger" which really made me wonder what everyone thinks of their tinting and where they got it done. So i thought that it might help me and any future polo owners to start a thread about everyones experience with their tint.
To make it easy and clear I think it would be good if we can a form. Thanks in advance for the feedback guys.

WHERE: city where tinting was done
    WHO: who did your tinting
    WHAT: tinting product if known
COST: approximate cost for the job
RATING: how would you rate your tinting job
NOTES: any extra tips or advice

any advice on extra information to include would be appreciated

    WHERE: Holden Hill, Adelaide

    WHO: Tint-A-Car

    WHAT: Dark?

    COST: $380

    RATING: 9/10

NOTES: The final job depends not on the name of the Business where you have it done, but on the person doing the job.

They also did the Green T4 (7.5/10), MK III Golf (9.5/10), our new kitchen window (5/10).

A couple of pics of the result.

I have just read your previous thread on the Polo tinting. Our rear window is one piece, and the owner/operator did not make one (negative) remark about the job.

    WHERE: Bowen Hills, Brisbane
    WHO: Tint-a-Car
    WHAT: Midnight Express
    COST: $300-400 I think
    RATING: 9/10
NOTES: They are awesome at this place. It shows with all the luxury car dealers using them (Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley etc). They had no issues with the tinting. Only issue was the plastic interior panel on the boot as not clipped in on 1 corner, a small push fixed this.

    WHO: Tint-a-Car
    WHAT: Midnight Express
COST: $200 (Usually 300 but got in on a campaign special)

NOTES: The owner of this place does all the work himself and from the quality of work and his general service attitude would highly recomment him.

here's where NOT to get it tinted in WA: VW Osborne Park.

they use some contractor who they wouldn't tell me the name of (how dodgy does that sound!) i got the tint re-done twice and it still looked crap. so i got it removed and my $500 back. looking at tint-a-car options now...

    WHERE: Sydney

    WHO: Option Tinting (in Fairfield)

WHAT: It was 20%, not sure about brand but their website states they use Solar Gard

    COST: ~$270

RATING: 8.5/10 The tint on the rear window is not stuck down all the way to the edge. Has not caused any dramas and you cannot tell unless you open the hatch and look from inside.

NOTES: They only do window tinting and nothing else, its all done at their workshop.
